Loving Family Award Closing Ceremony

The successful conclusion of a series of parent-child activities marked the end of the Loving Family Award Scheme. These activities helped nurture a culture of loving families in the community and encouraged the building of happy and harmonious families in which family members support, appreciate and care for each other and share duties. The closing ceremony of the Loving Family Award was organised on 19 December 2010. In addition to games and performances, prizes for the Loving Family Awards and Winter Solstice Card Colouring Competition were presented.

As Family Council members Dr. WONG Chung-kwong and Dr. KOONG May-kay, RTHK representative Mr. FUNG Wai-tong and artists Mr. SUEN Yiu-wai and Miss TSE On-kei officiated the "Loving Family Ferris Wheel" Ceremony by hanging heart-shaped carts printed with wordings like "Harmony", "Communication", "Responsibility", "Respect", "Love", "Care", etc. on a Ferris Wheel model and turned it around symbolising family union.
