Family Mediation

Family mediation is an effective way to resolve family disputes and help family members (especially children) to alleviate the psychological damage and embarrassment arising from litigation. It is believed that the community as a whole will benefit from a wider adoption of mediation service.

Apart from private mediators, there are five non-governmental organisations (NGOs) currently providing qualified mediators for provision of family mediation services. The list of NGOs are –

  1. Hong Kong Catholic Marriage Advisory Council
  2. Hong Kong Family Welfare Society
  3. Caritas – Hong Kong
  4. Shatin Alliance Community Services Centre
  5. Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service
